Carer Awareness Training
Our training programmes are tailored to meet your organisational needs and will:
Give you an awareness and knowledge about the needs and concerns of carers,
young carers and young adult carers
Highlight the importance of supporting carers to enable them to sustain their caring roles
and prevent crisis
Increase your confidence and skills in identifying and engaging with carers and
‘breaking down barriers’ to communicating with carers
Offer options for your staff and teams to easily refer carers the Salford Carers Centre for support
Support the health and wellbeing of carers, which can reduce their dependency on your service
Highlight the importance of improved partnership working and links with organisations
to signpost carers to other areas of support, information and advice
The training is tailored to meet your organisational need and can be deliverered to
team meetings, groups and frontline staff
‘Express training’ can be offered - with15 -20 minute overviews and updates
