Young Adult Carers service

This Salford Carers Centre service is aimed at young adults aged 16 to 24, who look after someone with an illness, physical or sensory disability, mental ill health or a substance misuse issues.

The service offers young adult carers a range of services including support with dealing with social, health services or housing services, help with accessing funding or support in applying for further education, training or employment.
The team also offer one-to-one support, signposting to other services and group work activities.

The Young Adult Carers service is aiming to increase the number of young adult carers (age 16- 24) who engage with our services. The service aims to improve Young Adult Carers attitudes towards their health needs, increase overall awareness of young adult carer issues in all communities and increase knowledge and access to emotional and practical support for young adults.
